Enrichment: Study Abroad
PARIS - Spring Break 2010 — the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Isle St. Luis, the cuisine, the wine, the cheese, fresh baguettes, the metro — you can't miss it. Check out the Paris Connections class - From Hemmingway to Headscarves - a look at literature, art, and a culture that continues to enchant us all. No wonder it is said that "Everyone comes to Paris." You should be there, too. For more info, visit http://www.edabroad.uncc.edu/parish/ or contact Julie Hicks at .
"I loved my semester abroad experience in Sydney, Australia. It impacted me in ways I never could have imagined by broadening my horizons and allowing me to experience a new culture. The school I attended there was very different from UNC Charlotte which forced me to adjust my learning tactics and taught me to study and learn in new ways." -- Kelly G.
During Spring 09 semester, I studied abroad for 5 months in the city of Santander in the providence of Cantabria which is located on the northern coast of Spain. This picture is of me at the marina in the Bahia de Cantabria (Bay of Cantabria) in Santander. I completed my Minor in Spanish at the Universidad de Cantabria. I improved my Spanish language skills, traveled around Europe, and had the experience of a lifetime -- ALL students should study abroad. --Rachel W. |
