Since graduation I have worked with a Charlotte-based wealth management firm as the Director of Marketing and Recruiting. It is a fancy title for, “I help financial advisors increase their brand awareness, and I search for and interview new financial advisors.” As of the fall of 2009, I have just started my Masters of Health Administration at UNC Charlotte. I want a career that combines my education and experience in business with my passion for health care. The University Honors Program was such a significant part of my daily life, learning, and success during my undergraduate studies. A particularly exciting time was in October of 2005. UHP hosted the visit of Louis de Wijze, author of that summer’s reading, Only My Life: A Survivor’s Story, about his experiences in an Auschwitz labor camp during the Holocaust. Mr. de Wijze was so generous to share his time and inspiring yet painful stories with us Honors Students. The excitement felt by faculty and students of the program was tremendous. |
